Abstract

The vine support (1) is of oval cross-section and has two U-shaped grooves (2, 3) opposite one another. The sides (22, 23, 32, 33) of the grooves are formed of extra thicknesses of the material forming that part of the vine pole. The base of each groove (2, 3) have holes in (21, 31). Alternatively, there may be four grooves, consisting of opposite pairs, or three grooves in a triangular sectioned pole. Each pole can have a cover over the top, and a pointed bottom end, and can be made of plastic. Clips with cut-out sections, into which are inserted metal support-wires, can be fitted into the openings in the bottom of the grooves on the sides of the poles.
