Abstract

The vineyard post is constructed as a rolled hollow steel profile and has on two relatively curved sides (12, 13) lying opposite one another, wire guides for wires (33, 34) which bear vines. Each guide has an upwardly projecting tab (31) and a downwardly projecting tab (29) which remain when a H-shaped hole (21, 22, 24, 26, 36) is punched out of the hollow profile. Such a punched-out hole can already be made before the steel band is rolled to form the hollow profile. Each punched-out hole (21, 22) consists of two lateral punched-out holes (24, 26) and a transverse punched-out hole (36) which connects these lateral punched-out holes to one another. The distance between the tabs (29, 31) which lie opposite one another is greater than the diameter of a wire. The transverse punched-out hole (36) extends at right angles transversely with respect to the longitudinal extent of the post and the upwardly projecting tab (31) is substantially longer than the downwardly projecting tab (29). As a result, the transferral of the wires to another vertical position is made easier. It is easy to pass the wire through the transverse punched-out hole (36) and then behind the lower tab (31), and vice versa. This wire attachment is adequate particularly for level terrain.
