Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé d'usinage de pièces métalliques avec préchauffage. Le matériau à enlever par l'outil de coupe 3 est soumis, immédiatement avant l'enlevement, à un chauffage local intense et à une incision au moyen d'un jet de plasma qui forme à la surface de coupe 4 une gorge 6. L'angle alpha entre le vecteur de la vitesse de coupe et l'axe du jet de plasma est de 0 degrés à 45 degrés et l'angle beta entre le sens d'avance de l'outil et l'axe du jet de plasma, est compris entre 10 degrés et 45 degrés . Application : usinage de billettes et lingots bruts de fonderie.
