Abstract
The stereo images are produced using a single lens with two prisms or mirrors to depict the separate images vertically displaced to each other. The viewing system has prisms or mirrors in front of each eyepiece to focus the upper and lower images to the respective eyes to recreate the stereo image. The system provides a simple stereo layout which can be viewed as non-stereo images, without the special optics. The images are vertically displaced so that a series of pictures can be set in a strip.
