Abstract

The solar heating panels may be located on walls, windows shutters etc. the different energy sources being used independently or together depending on the current need. The system has a heat accumulator, suitably lagged, with circulation tubes passing through it. The space between the tubes is filled with a solid able to retain heat well. Alternatively the accumulator may take the form of a tank filled with liq. A primary circuit circulates the heat collecting fluid from the heat source to the accumulator and back. A secondary circuit takes hot fluid from the accumulator to the heating installations in the building. The appts. improves the heat storage ability of solar systems. It enlarges the possible surface on which heat can be trapped.
