Abstract

The heating and/or air-conditioning installation for use in buildings is designed to make use of natural energies, such as solar heat, terrestrial heat, or groundwater or district heating waste heat, to be brought to the requisite temperature, using a heat pump with a condenser and one or more vapourisers. The latter are in operative contact with the energy distributing medium, and the condenser with an energy-conserving storage unit. Controlled energy transmission to the building, or to individual rooms, is carried out exclusively from the energy store, and a further vapouriser can be incorporated into the circuit following the energy store, for cooling. Energy supply to and from the energy store maybe exclusively via heat exchangers. The energy store, preferably water filled, may comprise chambers interconnected at top and bottom, with heat given out at the bottom of one and taken up at the top of the other.
