Abstract

L'invention est relative à l'acide gaïaconique A, caractérisé en ce qu'il possède : une extinction spécifique E1 cm **1 % d'au moins 200 à 600 nm, déterminée après la réaction avec une peroxydase et le peroxyde d'hydrogène; les bandes suivantes dans le spectre IR : 1600 cm**-1 (m), 1505 cm**-1 (v.s.), 1260 cm**-1 (s;b), 1200 cm**-1 (s;b), 1115 cm**-1 (m), 1025 cm**-1 (m) ainsi qu'une valeur Rf de 0,45 (toluène/dioxanne/acide acétique glacial 90 : 25 : 10). Elle concerne également un agent diagnostique contenant ce produit, et l'application de cet agent pour déceler du sang occulte dans les selles.
