Abstract

The anchorage comprises a 'Z' shaped lever(16) mounted on a carriage(2) which runs in a track formed by a rail(8) of the ladder. The rail (8) may be a longitudinally slotted(12) box section, and the lever(16) locates a sling(22) to a body harness. The couple imposed by the supported body locks the trolley(2) to the rail by a wedging action. The carriage comprises a rectangular plate(3) with an axle projecting perpendicularly from each apex zone. Two axles(10) support rollers (4) which locate in the rail, and the third(14) support an offset sleeve(26) besides passing through a lever(16) angle. A dowel(33) also projects perpendicularly from the end(34) of the lever adjacent. The couple applied by the sling(22) wedges the rail flange(6) between the rollers(4), the dowel(33) and the sleeve(26).
