Abstract

Attached to the rail sleeper or base are two studs. The clip is shaped with a return at the bottom end to butt against the side of the base of the rail. Two slots are provided in the broad bottom part of the clip which locate over the studs. The top of the clip narrows and curves back on itself to hold down the rail. Nuts ar tightened on the studs to lock the clip in position. The rails may be for railways, lift carriages or guiding ship construction cranes etc.
