Abstract

The wheels of vehicle transported on flat railway wagons are secured by special chocks made from bent metal strips (3). The underside of the chocks are fitted with angled tags (14) with pointed ends protruding out of the profile of the chock. The spiked ends dig into the wooden tops of the railway wagons and prevent the loads from rolling away. The chocks are simple to place and are self securing, under the force from the wheels. No further securing lines etc. are required to fasten the loads.
