Abstract

L'invention décrit une fibre à base de cellulose modifiée (réticulée en milieu humide) et son procédé de production. On produit, par un procédé d'obtention de viscose, des fibres de cellulose modifiée par des substituants hydrophiles, que l'on traite à température élevée en présence de catalyseurs acides avec du formaldéhyde pour les reticuler. Après découpage, les fibres peuvent servir à produire divers objets absorbants : tampons pour l'hygiène féminine et la technique dentaire, couches pour enfants, alèses de malades, pouvant bien absorber des liquides corporels et les retenir, même s'ils sont soumis à une pression.
