Abstract

L'invention décrit un procédé de carboxylation d'oléfines supérieures. On introduit une ou plusieurs oléfines de 16 à 20 C ou des mélanges d'oléfines de 20 à 24 C, sans solvant, dans une zone de réaction contenant CO et H2 SO4 , puis l'on ajoute de l'eau au produit formé. On peut faire réagir les acides carboxyliques ainsi obtenus avec une polyalkylène-polyamine pour obtenir un polyamide pouvant servir d'additif à une huile lubrifiante pour en améliorer les caractéristiques de défigeage et de détergence.
