Abstract

L'invention concerne un casier à combustible nucléaire disposé dans une enceinte remplie d'eau et présentant des parois pratiquement verticales. Selon l'invention, sont prévus un cylindre 42, un piston 34 coopérant à glissement avec ledit cylindre 42, des moyens 62 pour contrôler la circulation d'un fluide vers et hors du cylindre 42 afin de freiner le mouvement du piston 34 par rapport au cylindre 42, l'une des extrémités de chacun de ces derniers étant au contact des parois latérales 22, tandis que l'autre extrémité est fixée au casier à combustible, et un ressort 44 entre ledit cylindre 42 et le piston 34, de manière à maintenir une structure de freinage 20 de mouvements sismiques au contact de ladite paroi 22 et du casier à combustible. Application à la prévention des accidents susceptibles d'être provoqués par des secousses sismiques.
