Abstract
Latex copolymère obtenu par copolymérisation en émulsion en milieu aqueux, de monomeres contenant 5 à 60 % en poids d'une dioléfine aliphatique conjuguée, 5 à 55 % en poids d'un monomère mono-oléfinique choisi dans le groupe des monomères vinyliques aromatiques, d'esters sous la forme d'acrylates et de méthacrylates, 0,5 à 10 % en poids d'un acide carboxylique insaturé éthyléniquement, 25 à 70 % en poids de chlorure de vinylidène; ce latex copolymère étant obtenu par le fait qu'un premier mélange monomère contenant la quasi totalité du chlorure de vinylidène est tout d'abord soumis à une copolymérisation en émulsion, et qu'ensuite un second mélange à monomère contenant la quasi totalité de la dioléfine aliphatique conjuguée et la quasi totalité d'un monomère vinylique aromatique, est soumis à une copolymérisation en émulsion en présence du premier produit de copolymérisation. Le latex copolymere de l'invention est utilisé pour ses propriétés de retardateur de flamme ou d'auto-extinguibilité, dans des compositions adhésives, dans des peintures ou dans des articles composites.
