Abstract
Matériau réfractaire comprenant structuralement une phase de 9 Al2 O3 , 2 B2 O3 et comprenant analytiquement, en poids, 78-94 % Al2 O3 ,6-15 % B2 O 3 et 0-2 % d'au moins un oxyde de métal alcalin, étant entendu que le total de ces trois composants représente au moins 95 % de la matière réfractaire. Cette matière réfractaire est résistante à l'effrittement et à la corrosion provoquée par le contact avec une vapeur contenant B2 O 3 et les dépôts provenant de cette vapeur et par suite convient particulièrement pour la construction des superstructures d'un four destiné à la fusion d'un verre borosilicate.
