Abstract

L'invention concerne la purification du méthanol par distillation. Elle se rapporte à un procédé selon lequel un courant de méthanol et d'eau est transmis à une première colonne 30 de distillation qui transmet des vapeurs de méthanol à un niveau supérieur et un courant latéral de méthanol aqueux qui est utilisé pour l'alimentation d'une seconde colonne 50 qui transmet du méthanol produit à un niveau supérieur et, à son pied, un courant contenant moins de 60 % d'eau qui peut être renvoyé dans la première colonne 30. Une colonne préliminaire 10 permet la suppression des constituants très volatils. Application à la distillation du méthanol avec un très bon rendement thermique.
