Appareil pour serrer un ensemble comprenant une pièce de serrage présentant plus d'une zone de mise en place pendant un cycle de serrage. L'appareil comprend des moyens 12 pour serrer la pièce de serrage; des moyens 25, 26, pour émettre des signaux indicatifs du serrage; des premiers moyens 36 ... 58, recevant ces signaux pour déterminer le dépassement de la première zone de mise en place, ces premiers moyens produisant un signal de sortie indicatif de cet état; des seconds moyens 60 ... 70 sensibles à ce signal de sortie pour déterminer à quel moment un état de serrage prédéterminé dans une seconde zone de mise en place est atteint et pour émettre un signal de commande Q indicatif de cet état et des moyens 20 sensibles au signal Q pour cesser l'application du serrage.
