Abstract

A carriage (1) is guided by rollers (2, 3) in guide rails (4). A fork (5) is mounted for pivoting movement on the carriage about the shaft (6). The fork has a sector (10) locked by a pawl (8) on a lever (9) which is pivoted to the carriage and carries a roller (7). When the carriage rises, a lever (11) is caused to rise and then fall due to engagement of its roller (12) on a cam (17). The first foller (7) then engages the cam, lifting the lever (9) and pawl (8) so that fork is freed to fall and drop its load. A spring (16) acting between the rod (14) and plate n13) partially raises the fork. On descent of the carriage a lever drops to the lock position.
