Abstract

A load intended to be mounted externally on an aircraft has fixed eyes (4) which engage hooks (3). The hooks pivot on bolts (6) and can be released by the movement of the locking lever (20) so that a spring (14) swings the hook clear of the eye. The equipment is installed by pushing it upwards until it abuts against the undersurface of the saddle (2). By rotating the worm (15) which engages the teeth (13) of the special nut (12), the hook is pushed upwards until its claw abuts hard against the upper part of the inner surface of the eye (4).
