Abstract
The non armoured fire resistant cable has three conductors (1) of 1.5 mm2 section each being of copper. The conductors are insulated by a vulcanised silicon rubber sheath. The cable instestices are filled by glassed fibre fillers (3). The whole is wrapped in ribbon (4) having a mica base on a glass silk substrate, overwhich is applied a vulcanised silicone rubber exterior sheath. The cable is designed to withstand an external temperature of 900 deg.C for 15 minutes whilst the conductors are submitted to a tension of 2 Newton per metre squared, with the designed voltage applied.
