Abstract
1. A multi-conductor flexible electric cable for the supply of current to portable domestic electric heating appliances, such as irons and toasters, the stranded, rubber-insulated conductors of which are commonly surrounded by a rubber sheath on which there is applied an outer protective layer which is capable of sliding, characterized in that the rubber sheath (5) consists of a cross-linked ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or a cross-linked chlorosulphonated polyethylene and the protective layer (6) consists of a thin coating of a heat-resistant lacquer having an alkyd resin basis.
