Abstract

Procédé de fermentation du fourrage vert pressé en silo. Il consiste à y ajouter une culture de germes bactériens producteurs d'acide lactique et appartenant à la famille des Streptocoques et à opérer en présence d'une source d'azote, d'une source de glucides fissibles et de facteurs de croissance indispensables, à une température au moins égale à 15 degrés C, et à obtenir une teneur finale en acide lactique dans le fourrage pressé d'au moins 2 %. On inhibe ainsi le développement des bactéries protéolytiques responsables de la putréfaction du fourrage.
