Abstract

The drive device comprises two essentially identical half shells (2a, 2b) which can be placed on top of one another and which exhibit a centre opening (7). In the opening, a permanent rotary magnet (14) magnetised in a given direction is located which responds with a rotary movement to a change in magnetic flux which originates from a toroidal coil (3) which is enclosed by the half shells and through which current flows. The half shells form pole faces (8) in the form of projections for the permanent rotary magnet (14). This type of construction creates a drive device which only requires relatively little constructional expenditure for simple applications as a highly reliable servomotor.
