Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the rotary solenoid that does not require a reversing spring, by shortening the axial direction by using only one solenoid, and keeping the position of an operating lever by the attracting force against the yokes of permanent magnets even when the exciting current of the solenoid is turned off. CONSTITUTION:When a current is flowed through the solenoid 18 via a lead 25, the yokes 14 become the S poles, and the yokes 15 become the N poles. A rotating member 16 is moved to the position, where the magnets 18 oppose the parts 14b of the yokes which are of the S poles, and the magnets 19 oppose the parts 15b of the yokes which are of the N poles. Even when the exciting current is turned off, since the yokes 14 and 15 are the magnetic bodies, the position of the member 16 and the operating lever 22 is kept by the magnetic force of the magnets 18 and 19. When the direction of the exciting current is reversed, the member 16 and the lever 22 are moved counterclockwise by 45 deg., and the position is kept by the magnets 18 and 19, even when the current is turned off. In this constitution, the reversing spring which is installed in a locking lever is not required, and very useful effect is achieved.
