Abstract

The hinge locks in three alternative positions and may be used on a strap (1) for closing the neck of a sack. The hinge has two straps (3) united by a swivel pin (4), and the straps (3) are identical-each having a tongue (7) and a boss (5). A spring clip is used to hold the straps (3) in alternative angular relationships. Each strap (3) may have three horizontal projecting fingers on the hinge edge. The upper and lower fingers are bent into identical vertically coaxial and square section sleeves (5) for the swivel pin (4). The straps (3) interlock to be secured by the pin (4) with the resp. tongues (7) bearing on a flat face (6) of the relevant sleeve of the counter-strap.
