Abstract

On prépare des mousses dures de polyuréthannes à partir de polyisocyanates organiques et de composés polyhydroxylés à haut poids moléculaire en présente de catalyseurs et, le cas échéant, d'agents d'allongement des chaînes, d'agents gonflants, de produits auxiliaires et d'additifs. Les composés polyhydroxylés à haut poids moléculaire consistent en mélange de polyéther-polyols et de polyester-polyols, ces derniers ayant éte obtenus par condensation d'un mélange de 20 à 35 % en poids d'acide succinique, de 35 à 50 % en poids d'acide glutarique et de 20 à 32 % en poids d'acide adipique avec un mélange d'isopropanolamines et/ou un mélange d'hexane-triols isomères et, le cas échéant, d'autres polyols à bas poids moléculaire. Les mousses dures de polyuréthannes obtenues sont utilisées surtout comme matériaux d'isolation; elles se distinguent par une structure cellulaire fine, une bonne stabilité dimensionnelle et un haut niveau de propriétés mécaniques et leur prix de revient est inférieur à celui des mousses du même type antérieurement connues.
