Abstract

Procédé de préparation de monocristaux de sulfate de calcium anhydre ou hydraté à un rapport longueur/diamètre d'au moins 6: par cristallisation et séparation des monoscristaux. On part de solutions aqueuses acides chaudes de sulfate de calcium dans lesquelles on élimine les germes cristallins, on les refroidit ensuite à une température de 65 à 40 degrés C et on les maintient à cette température, éventuellement en ajoutant des germes cristallins, jusqu'à ce qu'on atteigne la concentration de saturation, après quoi on refroidit plus profondément et on recueille les monoscristaux formés. Les monocristaux de sulfate de calcium préparés selon l'invention servent de matières renforçante et/ou de matières de charge dans des articles de types variés.
