Abstract

The chain hoist has a frame supported by a trolley. The trolley supports a vertical tube having a second tube sliding inside it. The height of the second tube can be adjusted by a winch. The inner tube is integral with a horizontal tube which can move underneath the frame to allow the trolley to move forwards and backwards. An endless chain is supported by a number of sprockets and surrounded by a guard rail. The hoist is driven by an electric motor through a reduction gear. The motor is fitted with overload and travel stops.
