Abstract

A filing cabinet has a drawer (1) with rails (2) which support the cross bars (4) from which the files (3) are suspended. The cross bars, which are made of plastics, have a notch at each end which fits over the rail. A slot (6) which penetrates right through the cross bar is slightly longer than the file. The edge of the file is pushed through this slot and bent downwards to form a loop by riveting or glueing the edge to the body of the file. The upper surface of the bar is concave and carries the identification label (7) for the file.
