Abstract

Dans un système de traitement de données, un mot de 32 bits est appliqué à un générateur de bits de contrôle 12 qui calcule 8 bits de contrôle, le mot de 40 bits résultant étant appliqué à dix canaux de 4 bits d'une mémoire modulaire 11. A la sortie de la mémoire, un générateur de bits de syndrome 13 calcule 8 bits de syndrome qui sont appliqués à un circuit de détection d'erreur 14. Une seule erreur peut être corrigée par des signaux générés par un circuit de localisation d'erreur 15. Le circuit 14 détecte également toutes les erreurs doubles et en plus, les erreurs triples et quadruples dans le même groupe de 4 bits, un signal d'erreur envoyé sur une ligne 18 indiquant que le mot du registre de sortie 17 contient des erreurs non corrigibles.
