Abstract

a. Unité d'affichage permettant d'afficher des informations graphiques et plus précisément de composer des éléments devant être imprimés sur une page. b. L'unité d'affichage comprend un écran constitué par une matrice de points et une memoire d'affichage destinée à stocker les informations à afficher. Un registre d'adressage identifie les emplacements de mémoire selon une séquence commençant par un emplacement établi par un registre d'adresses de départ. L'emplacement de départ est transferé au registre d'adressage à chaque fois que l'unité d'affichage atteint un premier emplacement de points dans l'unité d'affichage. Si l'emplacement de départ est modifié, une image correspondant à l'élément stocké dans la mémoire se déplace en bloc sur l'écran. Deux ou plusieurs mémoires peuvent être interconnectées afin de permettre un mouvement relatif entre les images correspondant aux éléments stockés dans chaque mémoire d'affichage. c. Compositions de pages pour publications, telles que journaux, revues, etc.
