Abstract

The transistor switching circuit, for an ultrasound generator, is designed to avoid self-excitation and has a bridging switch (T8, T9) between the base and emitter of the switching transistor (T1, T2). This bridging switch prevents jumps in the signal voltage being coupled via stray capacitance from collector or emitter to the base and consequently operating the switching transistor. If the switching circuit contains two transistor switches in series and of opposite conduction type then each has a bridging transistor. Each bridging transistor has its emitter/base junction shunted by a low-ohmic resistor and a parallel diode (D11, D10).
