Abstract

1,206,054. Transistor slope detector. HONEYWELL Inc. 3 July, 1968 [10 July, 1967], No. 31741/68. Heading H3T. A circuit for producing an output signal in response to positive and negative input signal slopes comprises two transistors which become conductive in response to the slopes and which operate an output switch circuit, the latter terminating its output in response to its current. The positive pulse due to closing contact 18 and the negative pulse due to its opening are effective at respective bases of a PNP, NPN switch (or an equivalent PNPN arrangement) to cause the switch to become conductive and to switch on output transistor 52. The current through the common emitter resistor 34 causes the circuit to switch off but this is delayed by a capacitor 56. The circuit within the dotted rectangle may be replaced by parallel transistor paths operating a SCR.
