Abstract

Procédé et appareil pour déterminer la porosité des formations à partir de renseignements obtenus pendant le forage. On mesure l'usure ou l'émoussage de la denture du trépan, à partir de mesures de certaines variables de forage incluant un comptage du nombre de révolutions du trépan et de la profondeur de pénétration de celui-ci. On mesure également le couple appliqué au train de tiges et on détermine, de façon empirique, un couple de référence. Un signal représentatif de la porosité de la formation géologique est obtenu en combinant les signaux représentatifs desdites mesures, selon une relation donnée. Application à la prospection pétrolière.
