Abstract

To prevent a page of an official deed from being changed illegally a special security system is used. All the pages (10, 26) have a slot (16) through them, low down near the rear edge. a ribbon (20) is passed through the slots and a label (28) is attached to the two free ends (22, 24), secured by adhesive. The pages can be suitably attached to one another by e.g. staples before the ribbon is inserted. An identification mark is printed on the labe, and at the same time a set of perforations is made through the label and ribbon to form an additional identification. Afterwards, the whole may be secured between covers (12, 14).
