Abstract

The heat-treatment equipment is particularly for the glazing of enamel coatings, having a tunnel-shaped furnace through which the items are transported between loading and unloading stations at opposite ends. The conveyor is an endless one, travelling outside the furnace, in a vertical plane passing through the centre line of the latter, and is equipped with supports (11) at regular intervals, each with a cradle accommodating an item (4). Guides ensure that the run of the conveyor nearest to the furnace (3) runs parallel to the centre line of the latter. The support travels along a slot formed in the furnace, so arranged that only the cradles and the ends of the supports to which they are fixed are actually inside it.
