Abstract

L'invention concerne la production continue de brai de pétrole. Le procédé de l'invention consiste à soumettre une fraction lourde bouillant à une température qui n'est pas inférieure à 150 degrés C, cette fraction lourde étant obtenue par craquage à la vapeur d'eau d'hydrocarbures pétroliers, à une première phase de traitement thermique à 2 kg/cm** 2 entre 300 et 360 degrés C, pendant au moins 15 mn, dans un premier récipient d'agitation 3, à soumettre la fraction ayant subi la première phase de traitement à une une seconde phase de traitement, à une température de 370 à 450 degrés C, pendant 30 mn à 10 h, dans un second récipient d'agitation 7, puis à extraire la fraction légère de la fraction ayant subi la seconde phase de traitement, dans une tour de distillation 10 afin d'obtenir le brai de pétrole. Le procédé de l'invention n'entraîne aucun dépôt de carbone, ni aucune obturation, de sorte qu'il permet une production en continu.
