Abstract

The lock mechanism is particularly for a cold room, securing a movable panel to a stationary post. It comprises a bolt mounted in the panel and having a free end larger than its intermediate section, together with a catch mounted on the post. The catch consists of a fixed housing in which a lever pivots, forming with the housing a space to accommodate the bolt. The lever moves between the locked position and a position allowing insertion and withdrawal of the bolt. A mechanism in the housing secures the lever in the locked position. The bolt can be mounted so as to turn freely about two perpendicular axes.
