Abstract

Procédé de grillage, de neutralisation et de lessivage pour traiter un minerai constitué de latérite. On accroît la capacité de neutralisation d'un minerai de silicate de type serpentine à teneur élevée en magnésium dans la neutralisation 19 d'une solution de lessivage riche en nickel, solution à pH inférieur à 1, en le grillant dans des conditions oxydantes à une température inférieure à la température de recristallisation de la forstérite et en ajoutant une quantité de serpentine grillée 19A suffisante pour porter le pH à une valeur supérieure à 2.
