Abstract

L'invention concerne l'industrie chimique. Elle a pour objet une matière siliceuse apparentée aux zéolites et dite zeolite FU-1 de la composition 0,6 à 1,4 R2 O.Al2 O 3 , plus de 5 SiO2 .O à 40 H2 O, où R représente un cation monovalent ou 1/n d'un cation de valence n, qui peut s'obtenir par synthèse hydrothermale en présence de composés d'ammonium ou de phosphonium quaternaires méthylés. Cette zéolite est préférée comme catalyseur pour des conversions d'hydrocarbures comme l'isomérisation des xylènes, et le craquage d'hydrocarbures en C10 en un produit à haute teneur en hydrocarbures en C6 -.
