Abstract
Un procedimiento para la isomerización y la apertura de anillos de una corriente de alimentación que comprende hidrocarburos isomerizables C4-C6 y al menos un 2 % en peso de hidrocarburos cíclicos, para producir un producto que tiene un índice de octano aumentado con relación a la corriente de alimentación y una concentración de hidrocarburos cíclicos al menos 40 % en peso menor que dicha corriente de alimentación, caracterizado por poner en contacto la corriente de alimentación, en una zona de reacción, con hidrógeno y un catalizador que comprende alúmina en combinación con 0,1 a 0,25 % en peso de un componente de platino y con 2 a 10 % en peso de un componente de cloruro, en condiciones de isomerización y de apertura de anillos que incluyen una temperatura de 40 a 260 C, una presión de 0,8 a 7,1 MPa y una velocidad espacial de 0,5 a 12 h -1 , mientras en las sustancias reaccionantes que entran en dicha zona de reacción se mantiene una concentración de cloruro equivalente a de 30 a 300 ppmen peso de la corriente de alimentación, siendo tal la cantidad de hidrógeno que proporciona una relación molar de hidrógeno a hidrocarburos de 0,01:1 a 10:1 en el efluente procedente de la zona de isomerización.
