Abstract
La présente invention concerne un procédé d'application d'un revêtement réfléchissant sur une surface métallique telle qu'une tôle, ainsi que la surface obtenue par la mise en oeuvre du procédé. Selon le procédé de l'invention, on applique sur la surface métallique brute une couche d'un appret pulvérulent; on fair subir à ladite couche un traitement thermique en vue de fixer cette dernière sur la surface métallique et de créer une surface présentant des ondulations coexistant avec des micro-fissures; on procède au lissage de la couche ainsi fixée, par dépôt d'une couche de vernis destinée à combler les micro-fissures tout en conservant lesdites ondulations, et on soumet ensuite la surface ainsi obtenue à une opération classique de métallisation. Application à la réalisation de miroirs dotés d'un pouvoir de réflexion élevé.
