Abstract

The disc brake is applied to the wheel (1) and has friction pads (3) mounted on a support (4) which is hinged at the end of two mobile arms (6). The arms are connected at the central pivot (7) and the opposite ends of the arms (8) are fixed to opposite ends of the hydraulic jack (9). The friction pad (3) has a rib (10) which fits into the groove in the support (4). The support carries a spring loaded pin release mechanism which applies to the side of the rib (10) and disengages it from the support.
