Abstract

The refrigerator door frame has a rectangular inner shell (10) which fits between two side sheets (19) with a space between for vertical side insulation. Each side sheet is flanged, and the front flange (20) has a slot (23) for insertion of a block (17) forming a hinge for the door, at the top. The bottom of this flange (20) has two holes for insertion of screws (29) for securing a bracket (27) to the inside frame, for the bottom door hinge. The arrangement permits the door to be easily attached for right or left hand opening. The top flange (21) has a recess to hold the flat part (16) of the top hinge block (17) so that securing screws (24) can be inserted. The inner frame has a recess (15) to clear these fittings.
