Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une fibre optique. Il consiste à déposer une pellicule de verre sur la surface intérieure d'un tube de verre par dépôt de vapeur chimique, à chauffer le tube jusqu'à une température élevée en y faisant circuler un composé gazeux qui améliore l'indice de réfraction du verre, puis à chau fer et refermer le tube en une tige pleine qui est ensuite chauffée et étirée en une fibre optique. Applications au domaine des télécommunications optiques.
