Abstract

The practice projectile has sintered metal projectile casing provided with a guide ring. The casing has opening for accommodating the nose and hole at the bottom for traces charge. The projectile is pressed to final size and this ensures good fit of attached components. The cylindrical projectile casing (1) is made initially with oversize dia. corresponding to the guide ring (3) dia. The dia. is reduced on forming the guide ring (3) by pressing. The projectile nose (6) and the tracer charge (8) are firmly gripped by deformation of the projectile casing. The projectile nose (6) is held by being trapped in the casing by its tapered base.
