Abstract

The cartridge has a ball supported in a case in front of the charge. The ball consists of a flexible hollow casing whose cylindrical surface contacts the case, the base of the casing being flat and in direct contact with the powder. The casing also has an axial blind hole, this receiving the shank of a metal body whose head contacts the casing. The external dia. of the head is slightly smaller than the inner dia. of the cartridge case. The casing is pref. of plastics, the metal body being a round headed steel rivet.
