Abstract

L'invention procure un système simple pour détecter une catégorie déterminée d'erreurs de lecture lors de l'emploi d'une mémoire à disque(s). Chacune des pistes concentriques sur une surface de disque offre la place nécessaire pour un nombre invariable de secteurs. Sur une première position angulaire du disque se situe l'indication d'angle de debut Chaque secteur commence par une indication de marquage, qui est détectée et convertie en une impulsion de comptage par secteur, fournie à un compteur. La piste en question ayant été << présentée >> à la tête de lecture, les impulsions de comptage sont comptees depuis de la première détection de l'angle de début Si lors de la première détection suivante de cette indication d'angle, on n'a pas encore trouvé le secteur d'information recherché cependant qu'en outre le compteur indique un solde de comptage inférieur audit nombre invariable, le secteur d'information en question n'est pas détectable de façon distincte. Il est alors engendré un signal d'erreur, tandis qu'ensuite sont prises des mesures adéquates qui en partie sont déterminées par l'identité du secteur d'information << raté >>. De plus, le solde de comptage trop faible fournit une indication au sujet de la nature de l'erreur, de sorte que lesdites mesures peuvent être directement plus spécifiques et qu'une opération de rétablissement est possible sous la commande d'un programme à durée relativement courte Application aux télécommunications.
