Abstract
Procédé pour arrêter, en cours de production, les fuites d'étain se produisant à l'extrémité de sortie d'une machine de production de verre flotté. Il comprend un bouclier thermique 34 dont une première partie 35 est appliquée sur la partie supérieure d'un dispositif 29 de refroidissement, et dont une seconde partie 34 est appliquée contre une face extérieure de ce dispositif de refroidissement, de manière à le protéger contre la chaleur rayonnant du ruban 21 de verre formé en continu et d'un rouleau 24 de soulèvement et de transport. Ainsi, lorsqu'une fuite d'étain se produit à l'extrémité de sortie de la machine, l'étain atteignant le dispositif 29 de refroidissement se solidifie. Domaine d'application : production de verre plat.
