Abstract

Catalyseurs à l'argent pour préparer de l'oxyde d'éthylène par oxydation directe de l'éthylène. Il est connu d'augmenter la sélectivité de ces catalyseurs par imprégnation avec une solution de sels de césium ou de rubidium. Suivant l'invention, un lit fixe de catalyseur est formé, dans sa longueur de fractions successives ayant été imprégnées par des solutions de sels de césium ou de rubidium à teneurs croissantes dans le sens de passage des gaz à convertir sur le catalyseur. Le procédé s'applique en particulier à des catalyseurs ayant perdu à la longue une partie de leur activité.
